This modern hotel and leisure club, located to the south of Colchester, is the premier hotel in north Essex.
The hotel features 110 bedrooms which have been carefully designed with your personal comfort in mind.
The beautiful scenes of Constable country, including Flatford Mill and Dedham, are a short distance and numerous other attractions include Colchester Castle, art galleries, stately homes, gardens and a number of English vineyards open to the public.
The elegant lounge and cocktail bar provides the perfect meeting place and somewhere to relax before dining in the splendid Roman Room Restaurant, which offers a selection of international cuisine, complemented by carefully selected wines from around the world and served by friendly and professional staff.
The Lifestyle Health & Leisure Club is complimentary to residents during their stay and facilities include a 15-metre indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms, fully air-conditioned gymnasium and 2 outdoor tennis courts. Beauty treatments are available by appointment and for an additional charge. Unfortunately the hotel does not have a lift.

Select self catering with a choice of 4 excellent Barn conversions - 5 star accommodation with Jacuzzi and sauna. If you would prefer to stay at a hotel then there selected local ones.

With full board and hotels you are chaffered around and with self catering you have your own self drive minibus and come and go as you please

Fellow Hardcore Hunters, Sal is now doing 2 hard core hunts each season, Feb and Nov

The hunt is set for next year and y'all are invited. This promises to be a HARDCORE 12 hour detecting day relic hunt on the ancient fields of England. I had a great hunt this time and was able to bring home my 640 AD Saxon gold coin, too! After doing this for 4 years, I have a good feel for the area and have kept detailed records of where the good finds have been made. All fields are regularly deep ploughed and rolled flat each season. Each trip has been around this time of year and the weather has been mild with many fields freshly available, plowed, rolled and well compacted. Y'all take some time to think on it and let me know. Drop me a mail if you are serious hard core.

Details are as follows:

Sal's first 2 weeks are fully booked so he has opened up a 3rd week for both normal and hard core hunters

17th to 24th March 2012 (spaces free)

Detecting Time: 6.5 Days X 12 = approx. 78 hours (this is no joke - we will hunt from sun up until 8-9pm every full day and from 1pm-8pm on the half day.)

Room: 5-star barn house - with all the amenities

Food: 3 meals a day included

Hunt Fees on over 300 large fields: included
